The Cliffe Restaurant at The View Hotel is
a fantastic food and drink destination on
the famous Leas in Folkestone. In 2016, the
building was beautifully restored to its former
glory and is now a four-star boutique hotel and
contemporary bar and restaurant.
The Cliffe Restaurant is independently
owned and operated, and the team strive to
give a personal and friendly service within
comfortable surroundings. Not only is the
restaurant in the perfect location, but The View
Hotel also offers stunning views of the sea,
making it possible to see glimpses of France
on the horizon. The hotel has been proudly
awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ and
receives many excellent reviews. The position
of the hotel and restaurant make it the perfect
place for a luxury getaway by the sea.
The restaurant offers a variety of menus
available throughout the week, including a
lunch and tapas menu, a Sunday lunch menu,
an à la carte menu and a recently launched
brunch menu. It is also the perfect setting for
a quintessentially British afternoon tea, with
spectacular views overlooking the gardens.

Many events such as ‘Murder Mystery’ and
other themed nights are hosted here, as well
as regular live music nights every month. Both
the hotel and restaurant cater for many special
occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and
wakes, as well as catering for corporate events
and hosting meetings in the private function
room.
A vast selection of soft and alcoholic beverages
alongside contemporary cocktails are
available in the bar to suit everyone’s tastes,
with comfortable seating for a relaxing and
enjoyable experience. The experienced bar
team are always eager to please and can create
many cocktails or drinks on request. During
the summer months, you can enjoy the
morning, afternoon and evening sun on our
bar terrace with breathtaking views across the
English Channel.
