her forebear’s musical traditions with contemporary jazz, Latin and
European music. Virtuosic yet warm, stunning and welcoming, Souza,
with support from long-time musical collaborator Theo Pascal, captures
all the possibilities of her Cape Verdean roots with earthy wisdom and
