AUDITIONS FOR CHATHAM PANTOMIME

Jordan Productions and
the Central Theatre are
looking for shining stars to
join the cast of Dick
Whittington and his Cat for
their annual pantomime at
the Chatham theatre from
8th to 31st December 2018.
Auditions for dancers, aged
between 8 and 17, take
place on Saturday 8th
September 2018 at the
Brook Theatre, Chatham.
Those selected will join the
star-studded cast which
includes star of stage and
screen, Ray Quinn, in the
title role alongside
returning favourites Joe
Tracini (Hollyoaks, CBBC’s
The Dengineers) as Idle Jack and Ian Good as Sarah the Cook. The cast
is completed by West End star Steven Serlin as the evil King Rat, Jessica
Croll as Alice plus Dick Whittington’s fabulous feline friend! Audition
places are filling up fast so to guarantee yours, make sure you register

panto is going to be the cat’s whiskers!

The Churchill Theatre will open its doors and host a fun-packed, family-
focused day with access all areas and activities themed to upcoming
shows such as Madagascar – The Musical, Doctor Dolittle and the
magical Christmas pantomime, Cinderella. There will be a chance to
go backstage with exclusive tours where you can tread the Churchill
Theatre boards as well as the opportunity to try your hand at some
technical theatre practices. The theatre’s Creative Learning department
will showcase their next production, The Owl and the Pussycat, coming
up this December with a storytelling and craft area. There will also be
face painting and a colouring table to keep young visitors busy,
and parents and grandparents can sample food from the new Bar &
Kitchen, as well as having the chance to snap up exclusive ticket offers
on the day.

Following their recent productions of
West Side Story and Little Shop of Horrors,
Kent Musical Theatre Society return to
the Hazlitt Theatre for their fifth
consecutive year with Half a Sixpence!
Kipps and Ann were childhood friends.
When they were parted as children, Kipps
cut a sixpence in half and told Ann to
look at it whenever she missed him. Years
later, Kipps is working as an apprentice
in a draper’s shop in Folkestone. Ann
arrives in the town, looking for him. They
meet and re-kindle their childhood
friendship. Then everything changes…
