COTTESMORE SCHOOL CELEBRATE RECORD NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND FIRST TWO COTTESMORE PRE-PREP PUPILS LEAVE TO ETON .
COTTESMORE SCHOOL , THE ACADEMIC PREP SCHOOL IN WEST SUSSEX , IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS YEAR ’ S LEAVERS HAVE ACHIEVED THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS IN COTTESMORE SCHOOL ’ S 125 YEAR HISTORY . DESTINATIONS FOR OUR SENIOR COTTESMORIANS INCLUDE ETON , HARROW , DOWNE HOUSE , RADLEY , WYCOMBE ABBEY , WINCHESTER , BENENDEN AND OTHER TOP SCHOOLS .
Our leavers include Cottesmore ’ s first two Preprep pupils . Launched in 2009 , both boys enjoyed their formative years in the Pre-prep department , before moving up to the Prep . Now , at the age of 13 , both will continue their journey together at Eton .
Tom Rogerson , Headmaster of Cottesmore School , said : “ We are immensely proud of all of our leavers ; their energy , great determination and commitment , has truly been an inspiration for everyone at Cottesmore . All of the scholarship awards reflect the breadth of talent and accomplishment Cottesmore is proud to represent . It is particularly poignant that our first two Pre-prep pupils , who have spent a total of 9 years here , will remain together at Eton ”. Mike Waller , Director of Studies , added : “ This has been a momentous year for Cottesmore - we are delighted for all of our boys and girls who , we are confident , will continue their successes in their next educational chapter ”.
The school ’ s leavers enjoyed a longstanding Cottesmore tradition of the leavers ’ boat race , on the school lake , followed by the ‘ leavers ’ leap ’ off the pontoon , on the last day of term . This tradition brings with it the opportunity for staff and children to celebrate , in true Cottesmore style , and marks another incredible year .
