THIS YEAR, THE COLLEGE WELCOMED ITS GREATEST NUMBER OF LOCAL DAY STUDENTS FROM IN AND AROUND CANTERBURY IN ITS 133-YEAR HISTORY. THIS YEAR ALSO SAW THE START OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE GREAT HALL, AN IMPRESSIVE 600-SEAT AUDITORIUM THAT WILL PROVIDE CUTTING- EDGE FACILITIES FOR WORSHIP, CONCERTS AND THE PERFORMING ARTS. The now well-established sister school in Dubai has quickly been recognised as one of the leading schools in the region and in September, the executive headmaster, Dr. David Lamper, held a signing ceremony to celebrate the establishment of Kent College, Hong Kong. form students as well as the more traditional programme of A levels. Kent College students and staff celebrated another successful year for A level results, with over 67 per cent passed at grades A*-B, and almost half of all grades at A*-A. KC student, Charlotte Letley, scored 43 points for the diploma and has been offered a ‘Bright Sparks Scholarship’ to study Medicine at UEA. She was one of four students to score more than 40 points. Five students achieved a bilingual diploma and every candidate passed. These results match the best at Kent College, which is regularly noted in the top 10 IB schools in the UK.
