FESTIVAL FEVER HITS KENT! cont.

Tom Kerridge’s food and music festival, Pub in the Park, is heading to
Tunbridge Wells this summer from 6th to 8th July. Dunorlan Park will
be filled with Michelin-starred pubs and restaurants serving award-
winning grub throughout the weekend and the UK’s top chefs who’ll
be showing off their cooking skills on the chef demo stage.
The bill boasts household names including Tom Odell, Sophie
Ellis-Bextor, Razorlight, Melanie C, The Christians and Billy Ocean –
all performing live on the main stage. To quench your thirst, Pub in
the Park has an array of bars confirmed from independent makers
Weston’s Cider and gin connoisseurs Sipsmith, to the quintessentially
British Pimm’s teapot bar and the country’s leading pub brewer, Greene
King – there’s something for everyone.

and woodland near

first Vegan
Festival at
their
beautiful countryside garden centre site. There will be vegan friendly
stalls including charities, food and craft, plus street food, music, talks
and a comedy set from the amazing Viva Las Vegans. The garden
centre offers a suburb selection of plants and garden accessories. A fun
and family friendly event! £3 admission (under 16 free). Free on-site

Bedgebury Forest Live is taking place on 15th and 16th June. The money
generated from the ticket sales will go towards maintaining the forest
for future generations, so not only will you have a wonderful time you
will also be doing some good too. For 2018, you will be able to enjoy
entertainment from Paloma Faith and Heaton and Abbott – big stars
for a big event.
Finale concert is Lesley Garrett,
appearing with Emma
Johnson. Legendary band-
leader Chris Barber returns and
clarinettist Julian Marc Stringle
appears in It’s Clazzical! with a
string quartet. Enjoy the
company of cricket
commentator Henry Blofeld
while Cara Dillon sings
beautiful folk songs. There’s a
double-bill of Jane Austen At
Home followed by the FB
Pocket Orchestra. Community
events feature throughout, including Sevenoaks Philharmonic Society
choral concert, open air Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Vinefest at
The Vine Cricket Club. Festival Fair on Saturday 23rd June, in the centre
of Sevenoaks with fun for children of all ages most of it free.
