May Day Festival

24TH MAY AT HEVER CASTLE & GARDENS. Hever Castle’s May Day Festival
incorporates traditional celebrations to
welcome the summer from the mythical
Green Man of folklore and Jack in the
Green plus maypole dancing on the
castle forecourt.

Edwardian Life
During May half term at Hever Castle you
can meet costumed characters from the
Edwardian era and play traditional games
of the period. New for this year: Punch
and Judy with a Tudor twist!
16th-17th June
Father’s Day Weekend
Say thank you to dad this Father’s Day
with a car-themed visit to Hever Castle
& Garden to see an impressive display of
Alfa Romeos or Ferraris. Children can
make a car-themed keyring in free craft
workshop.
23rd-24th June
Hever’s Home Front
Discover what life and work was like
during the Second World War in our
Hever’s Home Front event. Visit the tea
dance tent, explore vintage stalls and
learn to swing dance.
Be it the stately grandeur of the castle itself,
the country house atmosphere of the Astor
Wing, or the stunning lakeside location of the
Guthrie Pavilion, Hever Castle offers a dream-
come-true location for your special day.
Intimate gatherings, exuberant parties and
outdoor weddings are all catered for.
Wander at your leisure around the spectacular
facilities and experience firsthand the magic
of a wedding at Hever Castle. Meet the team
who will be on hand to discuss your
requirements and answer any questions you
may have.
The event runs from 5.30pm to 9.30pm with
guests having the chance to take a tour of the
Astor Wing and to enjoy drinks on the private
Tudor Suite lawn just outside the castle. At
6.30pm, visitors will be able to explore the
grand function rooms of the castle set for a
ceremony and then wander in the stunning

grounds to experience an Italian garden
wedding. A selection of food from the
mouthwatering wedding menu will also be
available.

Hever in Bloom
During Hever in Bloom experience the
quintessential English Rose Garden at
the height of its summer beauty with
guided tours of the award-winning
gardens.

Jousting
The Knights of Royal England return to
battle it out at the annual Jousting
Tournament.
