Looping the Loop celebrates its 10th festival of unforgettable adventures
in performance across Thanet this May with its most joyful, family
friendly lineup ever! From dad dancing and a baby disco to a journey
that takes you to China, this inclusive festival is packed with shows that
will excite, inspire and entertain audiences of all ages.

Day at Hever

Gardens over
the early May
bank holiday.
The May Day
Festival runs
from 5th to 7th
May with a host
of customs and
activities for all
the family to
enjoy. Join the
Lord and Lady
of the May on
the castle
forecourt and
see the
crowning of
the May
Queen. Visitors
are invited to
dance around
the maypole
with brightly
coloured ribbons intertwined. Meet the mythical Jack-in-the-Green
and follow the Green Man from folklore in a traditional May Day
procession through the gardens as he wakes up the plants for summer
with the help of children and their magical May bells.

show is part of
City Sound
Project, one of the
UK’s largest
metropolitan
music festivals,
which takes place
in Canterbury
across the month
of May with a
programme of
events and shows
spanning
multiple genres and disciplines from spoken word to modern dance,

PAT A LAMB WEEKEND // 6-7 MAY
On the May bank holiday weekend, Mount Ephraim Gardens will be
hosting their annual pat-a-lamb event. Families can enjoy patting the
cuddly lambs who are just a few weeks old in a rare opportunity to get
up close to them as you celebrate the joys of spring.
