The facility is perfectly located in the Old Lodge , which used to form the gatehouse to the estate . The homely rooms have been fitted out with the very latest equipment , as well as flexible and environmentally friendly wooden furniture .
The nursery accommodates up to 12 babies and toddlers at any one time and combines the best practice and standards of nursery childcare with the individual attention of a nanny or childminder . The team of highly experienced and dedicated staff offer a service that is tailored to the needs of the individual child . The children have all the advantages of security and socialisation offered by a nursery environment , combined with the relaxed home-from-home atmosphere of personalised childcare .
Developed to encourage good eating habits from their earliest days , the nursery menus are planned by the head chef at Kent
College to ensure all meals are nutritious , wellbalanced and tasty . The building has been fitted out to provide a flexible and homely space , opening out onto a garden and allweather learning area – children are able to develop their skills and imaginations in the role-play kitchen and the conservatory area is used for messy and physical play .
The garden includes a role-play area , a planting area and a slide . For those children who require a nap during their nursery session , there are dream coracles and sleep mats where children can sleep undisturbed , yet still be monitored regularly .
