SUMMER FAMILY ADVENTURES AT CHARTWELL
July comes the flowering of the sweet-scented roses. Banks of delicate
roses create a beautiful border for this tranquil garden, which holds a
stunning view over nearby Ide Hill. Built in the early 20th century, it
remains today a quiet spot for enjoyment and contemplation.
A visit to Emmetts is a wonderful way to while away precious family
time together over the summer holidays. Whether it’s the Ant trail
throughout the school holidays, outdoor theatre or a relaxing day out,
there’s something for everyone. For more details of their summer offer
and opening times, please visit

A CENTENARY OF CHANGE AT QUEBEC HOUSE

Chartwell, Kent. They have lots to do for families including the ‘Around
the World’ family trail in the garden and woodland. Plenty of
opportunities to play in their natural play area, with swings, balance
beams, seesaws, a bomb crater and a Canadian camp to explore. They
also have a new family guide to take you on a tour of the house, where
you can find out about the Churchills who lived at Chartwell.
In the Old Quarry, explore Donkey Jack's Caravan, complete with a
trunk of dressing up clothes. It's just the place to let your imagination
run wild whilst exploring an untold Churchill story.
An exciting new addition to the family play area will be ready just in
time for the summer holidays too – inspired by the tree house that

ownership of Quebec House, exploring new stories about Wolfe and
the past 100 years. New artefacts will be put on show, including many
which have never before been on public display. They’ll be hosting a
range of events and activities for people of all ages to have some
Georgian fun.
The whole family can try on Georgian style clothes in the bedroom
and play traditional parlour games in the drawing room. Venture into
