KENWARD TRUST’S ALPACA EXPERIENCE // THROUGHOUT JULY
Kenward Trust’s Alpaca Experience provides the perfect opportunity
to meet, feed, walk and learn about their beautiful alpacas: Pepe, Louigi,
Romeo and Maximilian. With Kenward Trust being situated in the heart
of the Kent countryside on a Georgian estate, it is a stunning setting to
enjoy the grounds and woodland walk while walking these unique
animals. The experience is then followed by a coffee and cake in their
picturesque Sage & Time Café, with an on-site shop also available to
peruse at your own leisure.

ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY DAY // 1 JUL
Given the significance and importance of 2018 being Armistice Day
centenary year with a comprehensive part of Folkestone’s heritage and
history closely linked to the role it assumed in WWI, Folkestone Town
Council are planning to deliver something special with their local
regiments and cadet
units to
commemorate,
celebrate and
support our
country’s armed
forces, past, present
and future.
Commencing at
11am with expected
visitor numbers of over 3,000, this fun day is a free event with the
recognition of service personnel, veterans and cadets past, present and
future the prime focus. For the first time, this year’s event will also
extend into the Leas Cliff Hall with a comprehensive entertainment
programme to include Band of Corps of Royal Engineers, Blue Falcons
Gymnastic Display Team and acts such as the Cinque Ports Lindy
Hoppers, Daisy Belles and The Silhouette Show.

SUMMER VINTAGE FAIR AT CHIDDINGSTONE CASTLE // 1 JUL
Returning for its fourth year, the Chiddingstone Castle Summer Vintage
Fair takes place on Sunday 1st July in the castle grounds from 11am
until 4.30pm. The Medway Lindy Hoppers will be back with their
inclusive and fun dance routines and the delightful Miss Vintage will
be singing throughout the day. A festival of vintage for all the family
including Vintage Circus fun for the young and young at heart. This
year, they are offering an even larger selection of vintage stalls to inspire
you. Selling a full spectrum of vintage wares, from furniture, kitchenalia
and decorative items for the home to vintage clothes and jewellery and
much more. With delicious refreshments from local food specialists
available throughout the day, the Chiddingstone Castle Summer Vintage
Fair is a perfect family day out.
