SIMPLE SIMON IN THE LAST MAGIC DRAGON // 13 FEB
It ’ s half term and time for another fantastic adventure with children ’ s favourite entertainer : Simple Simon . This time , Simon and his pet cat , Tommy , have a very important task : to get to and find the very last magic dragon before the evil wizard Caliban does – he needs the dragon ’ s magic to control all the good magic in the world to turn it to evil ! This exciting pantostyle story is packed with songs , comedy and lots of joining in , especially the popular stage spots , where children are selected at random from the audience to take part in games and songs to win small prizes .

The Walnuts ’ first community event of 2018 is all about Chinese New Year . It will include a Chinese lion dancer from the Chinese Theatre in London , a Chinese choir , plus lots more . As it is also the year of the dog , there will be a dog show for all the pampered pooches with help of Orpington Pet Supplies . The event will also feature Chinese stalls to tempt you with fresh , hot , delicious food . Children will get to take part in free Chinese inspired crafts and receive a ‘ lucky ’ red envelope and fortune cookie as tradition dictates . To finish the event there will be a wonderful fireworks display .
