FRASERS OF EGERTON: A HIDDEN GEM
FRASERS OF EGERTON IS AS AN AWARD-WINNING RESTAURANT WITH ROOMS, AS WELL AS A
BOUTIQUE WEDDING AND EVENTS VENUE. FRASERS IS A HIDDEN GEM LOCATED IN THE HEART
OF THE KENT COUNTRYSIDE IN THE 300-ACRE COLDHARBOUR FARM – A TRULY IDYLLIC SETTING.
TIPPED AS ‘FAST-BECOMING A FOODIE FAVOURITE’ BY THE TELEGRAPH TRAVEL, FRASERS IS THE
PERFECT PLACE TO CELEBRATE YOUR MILESTONE EVENT IN RELAXED STYLE.
“It’s all about
wholesome tasty
dishes without the
fuss but all the style!”
– Lisa-Jane Fraser, proprietor.
Owned by Adam and Lisa-Jane Fraser,
Coldharbour Farm was purchased by
Adam's father, John Fraser, in 1960. The
Fraser family background is in retail having
founded household name, The House of
Fraser, which the family sold in 1988. In
2007, the traditional oak-framed barn was
constructed followed by the opening of
the restaurant and accommodation
business in 2009… And Frasers was born!
Last year, Frasers won ‘Innovator of
the Year’ at the coveted British Farming
Awards for its diversification from a farm
to a successful hospitality business. This
year, Frasers launches exciting new menus
and expands its events portfolio to include
themed events from ‘Gin Tasting’ to ‘Jazz
on the Lawn’, and hen party and baby
shower afternoon teas for groups from four
to 40 people with the option of using the
on-site bespoke floristry service.

Frasers boasts a 2 AA Rosette restaurant
offering a delectable new à la carte three-
course menu for lunch or evening dining
from 1st February 2018 (available from
Wednesday to Saturday). Dishes range
from pan-fried Rye Harbour scallops with
cauliflower and salsa verde to estate-bred
pheasant with red cabbage and
dauphinoise potatoes, and for pudding, ‘A
Celebration of the Egerton Apple’.
The ingredients are sourced from a
carefully selected group of local artisan
producers and suppliers and, during the
game season, game is sourced from the
estate minimising food mileage. Frasers
head chef, Kevin Bennett, quite literally
serves up dishes fit for the Queen as a
former chef of Buckingham Palace, and
predicts that this year we will see bespoke
dining become more relaxed with sizzling
BBQs and farm-supper dishes increase in
popularity for special occasions.
For afternoon-tea-with-a-twist, Frasers
offers ‘The Quintessential’, serving tartlets
to tantalise the taste buds, traditional finger
sandwiches, award-winning carrot cake
and chocolate fudge brownies, all
topped off with beautiful homemade
scones, clotted cream and homemade
strawberry jam.
So, whether it be a special birthday,
anniversary, engagement or wedding,
Frasers hospitality allows you to celebrate
in relaxed style from à la carte dining to
afternoon teas in the idyllic setting of a
Kentish oak-beamed barn or luxury
marquee overlooking the countryside.
