THE DUKE OF YORK’S ROYAL MILITARY SCHOOL
THE DUKE OF YORK’S ROYAL MILITARY SCHOOL UPHOLDS ITS TRADITIONS WITH PRIDE AND OFFERS
STUDENTS AGED 11 TO 18 A UNIQUE AND ICONIC PLACE TO STUDY – SET IN 150 ACRES OF COUNTRYSIDE
NEAR THE COAST, FULL AND WEEKLY BOARDING IS AVAILABLE.
The school has recently been reaccredited by
the British Council with the highly sought
after International Award Accreditation, and,
in addition to a wide academic choice, ‘Dukies’
enjoy a full and active life that includes an
excellent range of sports, music, drama and
the chance to represent their school at special
events. Students also participate in the Duke
of Edinburgh Awards, which includes
camping at the Brecon Beacons.
Centenary House is the dedicated sixth form
centre where students studying for their A -
Levels have en-suite accommodation. In a
busy boarding school environment it is
important that students have the opportunity
for downtime, so Centenary House has four
common rooms, each with SKY television,
comfortable seating and basic cooking
facilities. Every sixth former holds at least one
position of responsibility at the school too,
whether as a mentor, as a prefect, or within
the ceremonial duty system. Open evening for sixth form is Thursday 16th
November between 6pm and 8pm, and open
morning for whole school is on Saturday 10th
March 2018 from 9am to 12.30pm. To book
either of these events, please complete the
online booking form on the school’s website:
www.doyrms.com.
80 per cent academic and 50 per cent sport
scholarships are available for high achievers
in the sixth form, students don’t have to come
from a military family to study at the school,
and there is no expectation for them to
go into the forces when they leave after their
A-Levels. The Duke of York's Royal Military School
