BISHOP CHALLONER SIXTH FORM IS AN EXCITING AND HAPPY PLACE TO STUDY AND OUR SMALL CLASS SIZES ALLOW US TO FOCUS ON THE INDIVIDUAL ENABLING EACH STUDENT TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL . LIFE IN THE SIXTH FORM ALLOWS YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE YOURSELF , TO EXPLORE , TO BE INDEPENDENT AND TAKE ON RESPONSIBILITIES OF LEADERSHIP IN A WAY THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A LARGER SETTING AND WILL SERVE YOU WELL IN LATER LIFE .
This summer , our students celebrated excellent A level results maintaining the school ’ s high standards . Students achieved an incredible 100 % pass rate of A *– D , with 81 % A *– C grades . Students received excellent results in Chemistry , Dance , English Literature , History , Italian , Mathematics , Music and Physics with 100 % A *– C grades .
Our Year 13s were accepted at a number of prestigious universities to study a diverse range of courses including Brighton to study Accountancy , Cardiff to read History & Philosophy , Nottingham to read Physics , Portsmouth to read Politics , Roehampton for Dance and Leeds to study English and Theatre .
We were also very proud of one of our students who has been accepted for an 18- month flight training degree course with CAE Oxford Aviation Academy , who are the largest flight training network in the world .
Our Sixth Form has its own dedicated , upto-date facilities . These include a library , tutorial rooms , computer suite , common room and kitchen . Our students often say it is more like a university than a school .
As a sixth former at Bishop Challoner you will be taken on a journey of discovery . The teaching staff will help you to develop positive relationships both with your peers and adults that you come into contact with . You will be introduced to an amazing selfdiscovery framed in focused reflections of your own ideas and hopes and you will also experience the support of a caring Catholic community which welcomes all faiths .
