Spinosaurus Stomps in to Dinosaur Forest at Port Lympne Reserve
Dare to explore Carnivore Territory to see lions , painted dogs , small cats and spot the cute cheetah cubs as they play in the undergrowth . Later , steel your nerves and follow the trail through Dinosaur Forest – three acres of wooded paths packed with prehistoric lifesized creatures including the spine-tingling Spinosaurus and the terrifying T Rex – you could even win a cuddly dinosaur toy !
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the new Babydoll ’ s Wood Fired Pizza restaurant and choose from authentic Italian antipasti , freshly prepared wood-fired pizzas ( including gluten-free options ), scrumptious salads and delicious pasta dishes before exploring Primate Trail and popping by to say hello to the gorilla family in Palace of the Apes .
From Saturday October 21st to Sunday October 29th , there will be lots of activities taking place including eerie enrichment workshops to make treats for some of the resident animals and pumpkin carving sessions . Don ’ t forget to join the education presenters every day at
4pm to enjoy a Creepy Carnivore Tour and discover more about Port Lympne ’ s wonderful wolves , amazing African painted dogs and awesome Amur tigers .
Port Lympne is a conservation charity and a breeding sanctuary for some of the most rare and endangered species in the world . Working with world-renowned conservation charity , The Aspinall Foundation , the reserve aims to send animals born at the park to protected areas of their native habitat . Visitor monies help fund the reserve ’ s vital work with endangered species and enables the reserve to return animals to protected areas of the wild .
Set over 600 acres , there ’ s plenty to see and do this autumn at Port Lympne with wooded walkways to explore , safari adventures , travelling back in time to explore the Dinosaur Forest , as well as fun-and-fact-filled animal talks and feeds taking place at various ocations – there ’ s plenty for all ages to discover and enjoy .
Times of talks , feeds and activities will be displayed on information boards around the reserve , while itineraries and maps are free to collect from the gatehouse on arrival .
