WELCOME It’s finally time to say goodbye to summer, and I’m a-ok with that. I had a wonderful season, a relaxing holiday and now I’m refreshed and ready for the autumn daily grind. The kids are back at school and I’m quite looking forward to our normal routine (and Halloween!). My first attempt at ‘zupping’ this summer. Nervous? Me? Never! I spent part of the summer in the States and tried some new things, like ‘zupping’. It’s a kneeling-sitting-standing- lying-down watersports board, and it’s great fun! I stood for 0.4 seconds before toppling face first into the water, but hey-ho, it’s all about the effort, right? Do you hate to see the sun go and the leaves turn from green to brown? Try to keep your chin up, and maybe have a glass or two of wine – that always helps! This month, we have a special Kent Wines feature (p60), so have a look and buy a few bottles to help chase away the chilly-weather blues. Comfort food is another great change-of-seasons remedy, and we’ve rounded up some of Kent’s best family-friendly restaurants to keep both you and the kids happy. Have a look on p68 for some of our favourites. Each September, to coincide with the beginning of the school year, we feature some of Kent’s top educational establishments, and this year is no exception. From Canterbury to Sevenoaks, our county has an impressive list of schools – have a look starting on p123 for the best of the best. As always, we love to hear from our readers – get in touch at [email protected], or connect with us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Happy September, see you next month! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• MY FAVOURITE THINGS THIS MONTH...
