“There has
not been
one single
day this
school year
when
Olivia
hasn’t been
happy to go
to school.
We
obviously
worried,
like any
parents,
about Olivia starting ‘big’ school plus not
knowing anyone at the school and also having
moved to a new house and new area, but we
needn’t have. She is very happy, secure and
settled. “We thought
that private
schools
could be
elitist and we
quickly
realised
during our
visit on Open
Day that this
is not the
case.
Compared to
the other
local state
and private
schools we were considering, the big
difference for us was the combination of the
smaller class sizes alongside fantastic facilities
and grounds.
“If you are wondering whether to send your
child to St Lawrence, come and have a look
around the school, meet the teachers and,
more importantly the pupils, because they are
the best advert for the school.” “Eddy has settled really well and made lots of
friends. We have a happy child who enjoys
going to school every day. His enjoyment of
school in a safe and nurturing environment
is the main priority for us.”

her. Poppy passed
the Kent Test so a
grammar school
was another
option.
“It was the small class sizes as well as the
sporting opportunities that were a big deciding
factor. We really like the fact that there is a
separate building for Years 7 and 8 where they
have classrooms as well as social areas – it
makes a great transition from primary to
secondary school as children aren’t suddenly
daunted by hundreds of older pupils!”
