EDUCATION
IN ASSOCIATION WITH
A WORLD FIRST FOR
BROMLEY HIGH SCHOOL
BROMLEY HIGH SCHOOL HAS BECOME THE
FIRST ALL GIRLS’ SCHOOL IN THE WORLD TO
BE ACCORDED ALL-STEINWAY STATUS
DEMONSTRATING THE SCHOOL’S
COMMITMENT TO THE ARTS BY PROVIDING
GIRLS WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE
OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDY OF MUSIC.
In the last week of the Summer Term, the school’s Music
Scholars toured the Steinway workshop in London and
were privileged to meet concert pianist, Joanna McGregor,
who selected a Steinway Grand Piano for the school.
“The trip to Steinway was incredible. Meeting Joanna
McGregor, the Head of Keyboard from the Royal Academy
of Music was such an inspiration because she worked and
practised so hard to be the amazing pianist that she is.
Choosing and playing the Steinway pianos was an
unforgettable experience and having these pianos at school
will really enhance everyone's playing,” said Y7 Music
Scholar, Amelia Mallors.
Joanna McGregor will give an inaugural concert at Bromley
High School in October on the piano that she selected for
the school.
