Simply Ice Cream // Ashford www.simplyicecream.co.uk “We usually go to Midnight Mass at our local church or the Christmas Day service depending on which one is running. We start Christmas Day off with stockings – now that the kids are older it tends to be a much lazier start to the years when it was a 5 o'clock wake up! Then brunch and drinks with various friends before they go on to their families for lunch. We then open some presents and watch the Queen’s speech at 3pm. Everyone then goes on a dog walk before having a late lunch around 4.30 or 5pm. The boys light the Christmas pudding every year which is then served with ice cream obviously! If we are in Kent over the festivities, some do the Boxing Day run at Saltwood or have been known to take a dip in the sea!” — Sally Newall, Owner Luxury Artificial Lawns // Sevenoaks www.luxuryartificiallawnsags.co.uk “This is an image from the final day of our season before breaking up for Christmas. The day generally starts with a breakfast to thank all our staff for their hard work throughout the year. We then make sure our fleet of vehicles are cleaned and look sparkling ready for the new year. After this we finish early and treat our staff to a pamper session in the local barbers; haircut and a shave, ready for our night out on the town. We head to Rochester for our Christmas party which is curry, and normally end up in a pub with music. Our nights have been very successful over the years and we all end up staggering home in the early hours.” — Leigh Smith, Director 67
