WINTER STEAM UP // 29-30 DEC
Visit the Spa Valley Railway between Christmas and New Year for an
exciting new event taking place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th
December 2018 when everyone can enjoy mince pies and children
can travel for just £1. An increased service will operate over the weekend
which will see two steam locomotives in service including the impressive
1901 built Great Western Railway Locomotive No. 813 visiting courtesy
of the Severn Valley Railway and the GWR 813 Preservation Fund. This
weekend will be the only chance to experience the engine operating
on her own as the other remaining services for 2018 and into early
2019 will likely be a top and tailed arrangement with a heritage diesel.

berries glisten in the frost. Hever’s yew topiary looks fantastic with a
covering of snow or frost and the majestic hellebores nod gracefully
in the winter sun. The Winter Garden will be in full bloom with
intoxicating scents of daphne and viburnum filling the air while the
fiery reds, oranges and yellows of brightly coloured dogwood stems lift
the spirits. Energetic visitors can bring their wellies and take an
exhilarating walk around the Lake. Keep your eyes peeled for signs of
wildlife and waterfowl whose footprints can be spotted in the snow
and frost.

Bluewater’s spectacular outdoor ice rink, located by the lakes at The
Village, is undercover, so perfect for families to enjoy whatever the
weather. Kids can learn to skate with lessons and then hone their skills
with the help of seal-shaped skating aids, while the really little ones
can enjoy baby and toddler mornings and get on the ice with the help
of bob skates. Plus, every Friday night KMFM DJs will be hosting party
