JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS AT
TUDOR PARK MARRIOTT HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB.
THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF CHOCOLATE FOR PRIZES AT THIS EASTER’S JUNIOR GOLF
CAMPS AT TUDOR PARK MARRIOTT HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB. ONCE AGAIN, THE HOTEL IN
BEARSTED WILL BE RUNNING THIS POPULAR EVENT FOR FIVE- TO 15-YEAR-OLDS DURING THE
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS WHERE YOUNGSTERS CAN LEARN TO PLAY FROM SCRATCH OR PRACTISE
THEIR GOLF SKILLS UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE CLUB’S RESIDENT PGA GOLF PROFESSIONALS.
The golf camps will run
Tuesday 3rd April - Friday 6th
April from 9am-12pm, and on
Monday 9th, Wednesday 11th
and Friday 13th April. There will
be two camps each morning,
one for five- to nine-year-olds
and the other for 10- to 15-
year-olds. For just £15,
youngsters can join in for a
morning session, or sign up
for the whole week; all golf
equipment is provided. The
camps include games, skill
tests and prizes, plus a
competition each Friday to
round off the week.
Tudor Park hopes to
encourage more children to
take up the sport and to nurture
keen golfers. For the first time
in its history, the club now has
a junior golf team which will
be competing in local matches
when the golfing season gets
into full swing.
“Golf is a fantastic sport for
young children – it gets them
out in the fresh air, helps with
coordination, and teaches
them how to be team players,”
says Tudor Park golf
professional, Robin McGarr.
“Plus, we make it good fun with
plenty of competitions and
games.”
Tudor Park is recognised as
one of the most family friendly
golf clubs in Kent. It holds
England GolfMark status,
which recognises clubs that
make an outstanding and
innovative contribution to junior and beginner golf. It was also one of the
first golf clubs in the county to install purple-coloured academy junior tees
on all 18 holes of its championship golf course.
