A BIT ABOUT THE VINEYARD WALK AND TASTING EXPERIENCE A BIT ABOUT TERLINGHAM VINEYARD
The experience starts with an introduction to Terlingham’s traditional
and natural wine-making processes, showing you how they cork, cage
and riddle all of their outstanding wines by hand. You’ll then be taken
on a short, guided walk through the vineyard where you’ll get a behind-
the-scenes view of how the vineyard lovingly grows their fruit using
natural farming methods. At Terlingham vineyard, they are passionate about producing
unique and delicious English wines with integrity. Their
vineyard is situated just north of Folkestone on the Kent North
Downs, with fabulous views over the English Channel to
France. All of their wines are made from only the grapes
grown by them at Terlingham.
The tasting will be held in the vineyard marque overlooking the English
Channel. You'll taste one of Terlingham’s delicious sparkling wines,
as well as two of their delightful still wines. The tasting will then be
complemented with a generous selection of cheeses and artisan breads
along with another glass of wine of your choice, before being finished
off with tea, coffee and a slice of cake. Three years ago, Terlingham started the exciting journey of
using natural farming techniques and producing natural
wines. This means, other than the minimal use of some
copper and sulphur, that they don't use any chemical
fertilisers, pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. In their wine
production, they don’t add anything during the first
fermentation and rely only on natural yeasts.
