Inns Magazine Issue 5 Vol. 18 Winter Luxury 2014 | Page 15

here is a bed and breakfast with seven guest rooms all set on a luxury property in East Hampton on Long Island, New York. You

might walk by it several times as it is very discreet and offers a luxury getaway for people who mainly come from Manhattan, New Jersey and nearby Long Island. It is truly enchanting. It also caught the eye of owners Robert and Antonella Rosen who bought the bed and breakfast inn in 2005. They too fell in love with the property and as they say, the rest is history.

Manager Heather McCormack met Antonella and offered to help her out for a summer and 10 years later Heather says, “I’m still here, because the property and people are so special!”

Most people don’t even realize the house and property is an inn, as the signage is very discrete.

When guests arrive they too say, “We didn’t realize this was an Inn.” Once inside they see the classic demure of the property unfold, the seven beautifully appointed suites and enchanting gardens. The setting is so magnificent, people mistake the property as a private estate.

“The rooms here are very large, and we have a wonderful breakfast and a swimming pool. There are

two outdoor pools, one outside of the main house and another one beside the carriage house and one indoor pool.”

Breakfast is a wonderful experience each morning, guests can dine inside and outside between 8-11 am. The resident in-house chef makes everything from scratch including daily egg specialties like frittata’s or a griddle item like fluffy Belgium waffles, the menu changes everyday. There are fresh baked items; muffins and bread, yogurt and cheeses homemade granola, fresh squeezed juices. Guests can order what they please.

They use local products including herbs from their onsite garden.
