Inns Magazine Issue 4 Vol. 20 Weddings 2016 | Page 12

Who doesn’t love weddings! Just the thought of love and happiness that bring two people together is enough to make anyone gush. I had the honour of visiting an amazing inn and wedding venue located in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania in beautiful and historic Fayette County, located on the outskirts of Uniontown. Inne at Watson’s Choice sits on 45 acres and is owned by Bill and Nancy Ross. Originally John Watson’s farm that was Nancy’s birthplace, the couple has transformed it into a thriving country inn that offers 12 beautifully appointed accommodations. The Main Inne built in 1800’s offers seven guest rooms all with private baths. Across the courtyard is the Harvest House that offers 4 additional rooms with private baths and one suite. All the accommodations are decorated in an early American theme appointed with lovely modern amenities. Breakfast is served in the main inn and early risers are greeted to fresh brewed coffee and can relax while Nancy and Bill whip up a fine homemade country breakfast. It’s a treat to sit down to an in-season fruit cup, freshly squeezed juice and homemade pastries such as coffee cakes, sweet breads or berry cobblers baked fresh daily. As well you better have room for their famous main course such as Belgian Waffles with strawberries/blueberries and local maple syrup, or vegetable quiche with homemade salsa and Portuguese Bread. The baked Stuffed French Toast with warm mixed berry topping is a favourite and for my visit I got to enjoy their egg and cheese strata with flaky croissant and homemade jelly. It was amazing to say the least! For this and many reasons The Inne at Watson’s Choice has been accepted as a member of Bedandbreakfast.com’s Diamond Collection, which is an exclusive group of professionally inspected and reviewed luxury inns. What is an unexpected surprise is the Events Centre at the Inne at Watson’s Choice that includes the 1800’s barn and stable. The barn has been recently restored to host opulent country chic weddings.
