erri & Mike Vidricaire built their dream log home in

2003 on the banks of the Waterton River just outside

the quaint village of Twin Butte. After settling on the

10-acre property they decided it was so beautiful that they wanted to share it. They furthered their thoughts to starting a semi retirement business and decided to open a bed and breakfast. Terri worked as a graphic artist and Mike worked in real estate and the investment industry. In 2007 they built another building with two deluxe suites that can each accommodate up to 4 people and opened their doors as the Waterton River Suites in 2008. It is a fully operational bed and breakfast for couples and families.

The property is now being offered for sale and the pleasant surprise is the owner’s accommodations are a full-blown 2200 square foot raised bungalow log home that has 1200 feet of deck space that over looks the valley. “We have two bedrooms that include a large master and guest room, both with ensuites.” The house has an unfinished basement for future expansion; new owners could finish the basement, live there and rent out the upstairs, adding two more rooms to the bed and breakfasts’ offerings.

The current guest bookings reflect that twenty percent of bookings come from overseas like Europe, Middle East, United Kingdom, one third from nearby USA, and the balance is Canadian.

The B&B is located on the edge of the Waterton Lakes Park which receives almost half a million visitors during the summer, and being on the Waterton River, it offers a panoramic view of the mountain range, wild life, flowers, and peace and quiet.

Off-season can lend itself to corporate retreats, weddings, and weekend getaways for couples. Or you can lock the doors and travel for 3-4 months.
