atrick McQuillen and Tim Taylor decided leap into

the innkeeping business in 2008 and bought a bed

and breakfast in the seaside town of Shediac, New

Brunswick. It was a dream finally realized with Tim coming from the telecommunications world - specializing in customer service - and Patrick being a bonified chef. Together they wanted to create a special place.

The inn name was changed to AUBERGE Inn Thyme, major renovations were completed over the years including upgrading and redesigning seven guest rooms. New baths were installed, all rooms were freshly painted, and new furnishings were purchased and updated with fashionable linens. The results have definitely paid off. Their seasonal business runs from May 1st to October 31st. Reservations increased and so have the accolades. Six years ago both Patrick and Tim decided to add a coffee house and convert the main floor where they could showcase Patrick’s culinary talents. As Shediac didn’t have a gourmet Coffee House it was an instant hit. They offer gourmet coffees and roasts, teas, beverages, breakfasts, light lunches, and in the evening, decadent desserts. This made their business flourish. In high season it's not unusual to see a lineup waiting to get in! Both Tim and Patrick are so proud of the transformation that they and their committed staff have accomplished.

Both owners wish to return to their beloved Vancouver and they have purchased a condo there that is waiting for them; understandably after 10 years they want to move on to another ventures. The good news is that the inn’s cash flow is extremely positive and the entire business is perfect for a couple, a retiree, or entrepreneur. This is the one property that you can work for six months and take the other six off and travel, visit family - or you can stay open and specialize in weddings and business conferences throughout the winter months. The possibilities are endless.

The Inn is in excellent repair and is entirely renewed, upgraded and offered as a turnkey operation ready to hand over to the new owners. Imagine embarking on a new life adventure within 3 miles of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Did I mention you have a wonderful view of the water too? Better yet, go see for yourself!
