The Swaldo family wanted a place people could come to enjoy good food and wine, and with that said, their plans expanded and grew into a mammoth project offering much more. They opened their doors in 2010 and the response was overwhelming.

General Manager Scott Swaldo admits “We never imagined our business would have grown this big and we didn’t do it alone.” Due to the high demand, people wanted to stay overnight and within a year they added a boutique Villa-style inn consisting of 24 overnight accommodations. Each room is beautifully appointed with a fireplace and first class amenities. The original Gervasi Farmhouse is perfect for families and groups to stay in, offering a private residence atmopshere. There is so much to do here without leaving the property. Along with tasting the Gervasi wine collection you can dine at two restaurants; Bistro Dining offers a rustic Italian menu, and the new Crush House is more casual and offers cafe-style lunches with indoor and outdoor dining. There is a patio to enjoy wood oven pizzas with live music. If your love for food is like mine there is private dining available for groups and celebrations. For the gourmet-at-heart there are culinary classes available to learn the La Dolce Vita of Italian cooking. Be sure to check out The Marketplace gift and gourmet shop which offers unique treasures, gourmet food, and of course, Gervasi wines.

Perhaps you are newly engaged and looking for that perfect wedding venue? You have two magnificent choices; the Villa Grande is your own private manor, and the Pavilion is a unique outdoor pergola, perfect for dancing under the stars all night long.

Gervasi Vineyard is a family business and they pride themselves in offering an indulgence for all the senses, ensuring their guests have an unforgettable experience

ed Swaldo retired from the manufacturing world and thought he would like to create a small vineyard

with a restaurant combining his famuly’s Italian heritage and their love for food and drink. In 2008

he bought a parcel of land in Canton, Ohio, one hour from Cleveland. After mapping out and starting

the project they realized the potential that the property had, the acreage offered something very special along with the 1823 barn and the lake, both were the perfect backdrop to an enchanting place.
