The Sorensen family transformed their wilderness lodge into a romantic escape in 1989 and has been welcoming ‘couples only’ to their piece of paradise ever since. The resort is for ‘two’ and everything is designed around coupling. You’ll never want to leave your room. The wood burning fireplaces, tubs for two, luxury beds and every other detail make your romantic stay memorable. Dining is such a pleasure and this resort may be the only one in Canada that requires the gentleman to wear a tie to dinner! (don’t worry they have extras if you forget!) The food is a blend of North America with European gourmet, and the Couples Resort prides themselves on elegant dining. You deserve to be wined and dined at the best of times and this is one of them.

There are plenty of things to do; outdoor activities from water sports, canoeing, kayaking and swimming in the salt water pool to ATVing, boating of all sorts, horseback riding - and, of course - the best of winter skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dog sledding.
If indoors and complete bliss is what you’re afte, then a visit to the spa is a must! There are a variety of massages you can choose from; wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures - all leaving you feeling relaxed, renewed and very pampered.
