t. Jacobs is one of the top three tourist attractions in

Ontario, Canada. It is just over an hour west of Toronto

and the small town village is a step back in time as it is

located in the heart of Mennonite country. It is the norm to see horse and buggies gliding down main street amongst the cars and boutique shops. It is a prime destination for foodies, antique lovers, décor, fashion and artisan collectibles as there are over 100+ stores to browse through all day long. The ever-famous St. Jacobs Farmers' Market is located at the south end of the village, occurs Thursdays and Saturdays, and is the largest farmers' market in Canada.

At the north end of town you will find a charming country inn with a new twist, DH Food & Lodging (formerly Benjamin’s Inn and Restaurant). It has rebranded and gone back to reflecting its original name, as it was initially known as the Dominion Hotel. Built in 1852, DH Food & Lodging has seen some significant changes over the years. The inn offers nine delightful guestrooms each with an ensuite. They are outfitted with modern day amenities, including queen beds, and all stays include a deluxe complimentary continental breakfast served in the quaint upstairs veranda overlooking the heart of the Village of St. Jacobs.

On the main floor of the inn you will find the restaurant - and it too has been revamped. The new menu and décor are tantalizing - your taste buds will want to park here for a meal! Whether lunch or dinner, the menu features fresh local ingredients and seasonal specialties. There is a seasonal outdoor patio and the wine list is affordably friendly. Whether it is Ontario lamb cooked with a locally made craft beer, a grouping of artisan cheeses with yummy preserves, or a salad featuring local greens with goat cheese, beets and a tangy dressing - it is all amazing!

A trip to St. Jacobs and DH Food & Lodging is the perfect blend of country-charm-meets-local-foodie and you get to play and stay for as long as you like!
