estwind Inn is a private, intimate family owned lakefront country inn 90 minutes
north east of Toronto. It’s an easy picturesque drive on excellent highways.
The setting is so serene, scenic, and offers peaceful relaxation, just for adults. Nestled amongst tall pines on pink granite rock in a spectacular wilderness setting at the water's edge. There is a 1/4-mile of natural private lakefront with boardwalk, docks, sand beach, canoe launch, and boat ramp. 60 acres of nature await you with beaver pond and trails in the Kawartha Lakes District.
The inn is reminiscent of an olde rocky mountain lodge built of cedar in 1986, with pine lined walls, Persian carpets, antique furniture such as pine dressers, single board cupboards, blanket boxes, dry sink, original art, memorabilia. All set in a rustic, casual, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Unpretentious, no need for a jacket and tie.
The adjacent chalet, built in 1997 has four suites situated on a scenic lakefront, steps from the main lodge. They are very private, intimate, and serene for those who desire a suite at the resort. Larger than the lodge rooms, they have pine floors, cedar ceilings, four poster bed, large sofa and chair overlooking a gas fireplace and balcony with lake view. They are perfect for honeymoons and anniversaries.
The dining room has a breathtaking lake view you’ll never tire of. Food is tasty and offers county casual, inclusive rates with meals are available. Rooms are cozy comfy with sitting area, coffee table, gas fireplace, balcony with view and chairs, designed for two with one or two beds and are air conditioned. Each accommodation offers a large bathroom; many are equipped with jetted tubs. Not modern luxury, more rustic, cozy, casual cottagey.
