The Technology Entrepreneurship Centre
Introduction The University of Nottingham Innovation Park is an outstanding location for business . Characterised by iconic architecture and providing impressive office facilities and business services , the Innovation Park is a creative environment where business and research can engage , interact and work together .
The Innovation Park is one of only four University Enterprise Zones ( UEZs ) in the UK . This initiative is being supported by the construction of a new Technology Entrepreneurship Centre ( TEC ) and business incubator on the Innovation Park . From September 2016 the TEC will be the focus of enterprise support and business engagement by the University of Nottingham .

Key Developments for 2016 Space TEC Incubation
In Spring 2016 , the Innovation Park became one of six new sites offering business incubation to start-ups in the Space Sector in partnership with the UK Space Agency . The programme focusses on supporting the creation and growth of downstream Satellite applications .
The Technology Entrepreneurship Centre
Developed as part of the University Enterprise Zone , the Technology Entrepreneurship Centre ( TEC ) will open in September 2016 . The TEC will provide a range of small , medium and larger offices within a 2000m 2 three-storey building and will include meeting , seminar and innovation space together with social space and a café . The building will host up to 35 technology-driven start-ups linking to existing research activities on the Innovation Park . The TEC will also be home to anchor tenants supporting student and alumni businesses ( Haydn Green Institute ), academic spin-outs ( University of Nottingham IPCO ), and local entrepreneurs ( UNIP ).
The GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry
GlaxoSmithKline ( GSK ), one of the world ’ s leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies , and the University of Nottingham have formalised a collaboration to establish a new laboratory to accommodate a Centre of Excellence for sustainable chemistry . This involves the construction of an innovative carbon neutral sustainable chemistry laboratory , supported by a £ 12m grant from GSK . The initiative will focus on research that is of particular
