Introduction The National Agri-food Innovation Campus – York offers an opportunity for business to grow within a unique scientific environment . Within easy reach of the historic city of York , the Sand Hutton campus is home to a lively mix of private and public sector organisations . Anchor tenant , Fera Science Ltd , is joined by other private sector organisations including ; Abingdon Health , Birdstrike Management , Mologic , ELRIG and Venn Life Sciences . The site is home to two National Centres for Agricultural Innovation and several public organisations including ; PHE , APHA , MHRA and SPAH . The site welcomes businesses from a wide range of sectors whilst focussing on providing a home for agri-food sector organisations and those in life sciences covering plant , animal and human health .
Situated in a pleasant , 80 acre parkland setting , the campus is able to accommodate large or small occupiers with a range of fit out options including fully fitted wet and dry labs , office and write up space and specialist manufacturing .
Organisations based at the site benefit from world class equipment , a top range of support services , an enviable location and unique opportunities to interact with world class scientists and businesses working at the interface of government , academia and industry .
The site is used daily by around 850 people and within the 27,800sqm of built space , houses an active professional and innovative community . Of necessity , the laboratory accommodation is state of the art and there is an extensive support network which enables tenant organisations to operate seamlessly while concentrating on their core functions .
The Sand Hutton campus benefits from a resilient infrastructure designed to allow for permanent operation 365 days a year .
Accommodation The campus is centred on eight science blocks . A typical block contains 1,500sqm ( 16,000 sqft ) of net useable space over two floors . Each floor houses a mix of laboratory and office accommodation . Laboratory

space is available from 40sqm to 400sqm with adjoining office space from 19sqm to 325sqm .
All laboratories are equipped with laboratory gases , utilities , fume extract and benching and can be configured to meet the needs of research , diagnostics and laboratory based production methods . Laboratories can be reconfigured in response to short-term business opportunity or adapted and expanded to meet longer term business growth .
