West of Scotland Science Park

A joint initiative between Scottish Enterprise and the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde , the West of Scotland Science Park provides the ideal environment for businesses focused on emerging and future technologies .
Located on a 60 acre landscaped site on the outskirts of Glasgow , the Park hosts companies operating across two campuses working in the life sciences and technology sectors including ultrasonics , pharmaceuticals , mobile computing , cleanrooms , satellites , laser systems , telecommunications , pre-clinical drug discovery and optoelectronics .
The Kelvin Campus incorporates nine pavilions comprising a mixture of multi-occupier and single user buildings while the Todd Campus hosts mainly single user properties facilitating grow-on space for companies at the upper end of the SME scale .
Tenants reap the benefits of collaboration with two of the UK ’ s leading universities as well as access to their high quality facilities including world class research expertise in a range of specialisms .
An atmosphere of knowledge sharing and collaboration is boosted by access to support from Scottish Enterprise ’ s Business Growth team while its location within a development area means a wide range of government financial incentives are available .
The Park also benefits from direct proximity to a number of leading research facilities . These include the Beatson Oncology Centre , one of Europe ’ s foremost cancer research facilities , and the new Translational Research Centre which is currently under construction and will be the final element in the Glasgow Centre for Cancer Research .
The adjacent Glasgow University Garscube campus also houses the Weipers Centre for Equine Welfare , the Small Animal Hospital and the School of Veterinary Medicine and is the location for the under-development Medical Research Council Centre for Virus Research .
