Annie finds music as a source of solace.
Alkaline Trio is a pop-punk emo band
filled with lyrical poeticism and macabre
imagery and during a period of brief
darkness in her life, Annie confesses, “It
got my head spinning, those songs about
love, vices, and addictions. I found myself
fascinated with old things that were
creepy and juxtaposed with those that
were pretty.” The combination of the two is
what Jodi and Annie call their design style
“Elegantly Macabre.” It is that combination
that gave the design company the
moniker Se7en Deadly.
