Billy happened to be filming the awards. He
was told that since he was nominated, he
could wear a suit but he said that he’d just
bring a jacket. When it was announced that
he had won, Billy threw on his jacket and left
his camera post to accept his award. As one
could imagine, a very dream-like experience,
and a great one at that. His hard work, love
for the arts, and determination paid off. A
great accomplishment—one that brought
him recognition—the blossoming of a new
filmmaker. His film brought tattooing into the
public eye. It was a great triumph for Billy in
many ways.
