Lusy: My first tattoo I got when I had just turned sixteen. Ever since I was a kid, I was obsessed with personalizing my things, books, bags, toys, everything had to say something about me, I wanted people to recognize my things and know they belonged to me. When I found out you could personalize your skin and it was permanent, that was when I was ready to do it as soon as possible. I must ask… what is/are your favorite styles of tattoo? Lusy: My favorite style of tattoo is definitely realism, mainly portraits. I could stare at them all day in awe. Do you like to stick to one artist, or try a number of different ones? Lucie: I don’t stick to only one tattooer, but different artists because they all have a different style. I have the chance to travel a lot and I get tattoos in all countries I visit, such as Germany, Belgium, Canada, New York, Cuba, et cetera. Meeting with amazing people and discovering different cultures thanks to a passion is so cool and it’s not something everybody can do. I also know a lot of tattooed models because of my husband, Fabou, who is the “best photographer ever” to me. So together, we are in relation with nice people all around the world. I find it takes a magical part in our life together. Lusy: My tattoos are mostly done by my brother Joel P. Blake. What kind of tattoos do you have? Lucie: I have tattoos on my both arms, my chest, my neck, my back, my “ass”, feet, sternum. You just have to take a look at my pictures to know it! I have a lot of black and grey tattoos with themes like religion, family, Disney, portraits, to keep on my skin the most important events/ people of my little life. My last one is the second part of my chest with roses in black and grey. I did it in Cuba by a very unknown talented tattoo artists called Ernesto Varadero. Lusy: My tattoos consist mainly of portraits from movies and music and the rest are animal tattoos. Among all your tattoos, which one do you prefer and why? Lusy: My favorite tattoo is my back piece, it was tattooed by a childhood friend, Ryan Smith and meant a lot, it was a design he had drawn and created himself and when I saw it, I knew I had to have it. As we know, tattoos are “addictive.” Is that what drives you to get more? Lucie: For me, it’s a kind of lifestyle, it shows who I am, tells about my personality and it can immortalize moments of my weird fairytale… There are some bad times during a life and life was really hard for me at the beginning. It’s not a question that tattoos are painful but as we say, “no pain, no gain!” So, tattoos symbolize my evolution to success in my life, in my work, and in my relationship equally. Lusy: I’m not addicted to tattoos although I look it. I just love art and what you can do with it in terms of designs. Do you think you will miss getting tattooed when you consider yourself finished, if that time ever comes? Lusy: I will definitely not miss getting tattooed when I feel I’m finished, I seem to be able to tolerate it less the older I g WB
