Jim Louvau: I know before the Juggernaut records came out, the story and plot were pretty hush hush, but now that they are out, can you tell us a little more about both? Spencer Sotelo: I don’t like to get super in-depth about the story in interviews because I look at it like a movie. When you see a trailer, you don’t really know what the movie is about and if you knew everything the movie was going to be about and you knew how it was going to play out, you wouldn’t really want to go see it because you know everything about it already. The story is basically about this guy who is born into a sadistic cult. The story plays out his whole life and going back and forth between good and bad and him wanting to live a normal life. Jim Louvau: How did the story develop? Spencer Sotelo: Last year, when we were working on the records as a band, I was doing a lot of movie watching and a lot of gaming. A lot of the movies and shows I was watching were horror style and based on the occult and things like that. Rosemary’s Baby has always been one of my favorite horror movies and at the time, I was watching a show called True Detective. That greatly inspired me when writing the story for the first record. 26 InkSpiredMagazine.com
