InkSpired Magazine: What role do tattoos play in your life? Anita Joy: I only ever started tattooing my skin for my own fulfillment but it is fun to me how fascinating and interesting they are to others that I meet. This is my story on my skin and I love to share that with others who may not fully understand it but are curious about it. Being as covered as I am, a lot revolves around tattoos in my life, from business to pleasure. I may not be a practicing tattoo artist myself, but tattoos are a huge part of my life. From the companies I work with, model for or support, the majority of them come from the tattoo industry. I am blessed to know some of the talented people in this industry that I do and love the family they have become to me. InkSpired Magazine: What inspires you? Do you have any people that you are inspired by? Anita Joy: I am pulled in so many different directions daily for inspiration. As I said, I am an artist so I see things that inspire me and make me feel things that relate me back to my own artwork or just boggle my mind with how very different and diverse everyone’s view on art is. I love going to galleries and getting filled up with everyone else’s perspective on art…that is what builds my own creativity in many ways. Music is also a huge part of where my inspiration is derived from. I have a very eclectic taste in music and spend a large percentage of my days and nights with it. People certainly inspire me as well, from friends, family, loves, everyone in my life affects and inspires me in some way. 148 InkSpiredMagazine.com
