SUBMISSION OF SEWERAGE AND SANITARY
PLUMBING WORKS
In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 4(1)(f) of the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 [Act
138], the Board of Engineers Malaysia hereby determines that:
1. Sanitary plumbing works shall be submitted by registered Professional Engineers with Practising
Certificate in the Mechanical or Civil disciplines.
2. Septic tanks and sewage treatment plant including associated structural works shall be submitted by
registered Professional Engineers with Practising Certificate in the Civil discipline only.
