Key success criteria for wearables include unparallel useability, unique and smooth experience as well as an attractive price point. Wearables should not be seen solely as a hardware device, but an ecosystem and a portal that has omnipresent interconnectivity and a wealth of content available. Healthcare is among the most promising sectors for smart devices. Wearable technology can enable virtual care by collecting sophisticated data for both doctors and patients. The future form and evolution of wearables is uncertain. However, we can be sure it will be different by leaps and bounds from today’s offerings.
