knowledge of the materials’ characteristics and specific behaviours in the context of specific applications. In addition there is also the need for comprehensive prototyping and testing. As outlined in the NGAP 2020, the Malaysian Government, through NanoMalaysia as the lead implementing agency, will assist local companies and industries to successfully innovate graphene applications by providing specific support . Its main roles are: Awareness building and facilitating projects: NanoMalaysia will be responsible for conducting an extended outreach effort and generating awareness and comprehension within industry of the potential applications of graphene. The Government will also facilitate partnerships and collaborations across the various stakeholders in the ecosystem (e.g., between industry and academia, or between upstream and downstream producers). Project Execution: Companies can get assistance with late stage R&D and prototyping. The four basic project execution support functions are R&D and prototyping, access to graphene suppliers, access to IP advice and access to expert networks. Several Malaysian universities already have prototyping facilities. Scale-up support: At the commercialisation stage, NanoMalaysia will facilitate introductions to existing Government agencies such as Pemandu and MIDA to access available resources, tax i
