To enhance the quality of TVET programmes, the
providers will also seek international recognition
from relevant bodies and institutions.
Strategy D: Rebranding of TVET
MOE’s TVET providers will increase its offering
of high technology and high value programmes
that are associated with high salaries, and work
with various stakeholders to brand TVET as an
attractive career path.
Under curriculum development, MOE has
started engaging with industry to identify their real
needs. Dato’ Seri Zaini reveals that the UniversityIndustry Council has re-started and come out
with training modules accredited by specific
industries. Currently, the modules are geared
towards certificate and diploma level, covering the
retail, oil and gas, automobile and aeronautical
