Certification and technology contribution No , OPC-UA is not an open standard . Access to specifications and developer resources are available to OPC Foundation members only . Membership requires payment of annual dues at selected membership level . The specifications process is open to participation by both vendors and users .
Open source and commercial implementations are available . No , the OPC-UA specifications do not rely on any single component from any single vendor .
