I

I had a dream

A dream with God as Chair

Humans screamed their disgust

Plants and trees screamed their pain

Animals screamed life's unfairness

The earth kept mute

II

Every stakeholder

Looked in earth's direction

And so earth had no choice but to give a speech

"I suffer, I give and I take

And the cycle continues

What right has anyone to judge me?"

III

Humans said:

"We are born and we have to live

So we turn to the plants"

IV

Plants and trees echo:

"Sadly"

V

Earth retorts:

"And plants and trees

Are what I give

Even the seas and rivers sit on me"

VI

Humans continued:

"Even so

Why must we suffer

In death and sicknesses?"

VII

Earth said:

"Because nothing is for free

What you take you must replace

If you dig me like a savage

For your own gain

You must enter at last

To replenish and help feed others"

VIII

God asked what humans wanted

"Immortality"

Was their answer in one voice

IX

Plants and trees sing:

"Freedom to live"
