Johnny Sparrow and his wife to be

Did both admire his poetry,

Of infidelity, there was no mention,

None knew then of his intention.

Johnny Sparrow, when was wed

Found love poems in his bed,

All along she had been untrue,

And Johnny Sparrow never knew.

Johnny Sparrow, in rage did plot,

Loaded his musket with lead shot,

Knowing love could not be saved

Sent wife and poet to their graves,

Johnny Sparrow, laid to rest,

Raven sits on his oaken chest,

Pecking a poem into the grain

"Johnny Sparrow died insane"
