You were twenty-nine when you began Shattered Reality, had the story changed in any way when you picked it up again when you were in your forties?

Thank you for asking. My story really evolved throughout the years. When I first started writing this narrative it was truly a coming-of-age memoir. In fact, there was no dialog at all.

My initial thought was to focus on the wedding business since I was planning my wedding which seemed like such a farce. It was then that I had the idea to highlight what a shady industry this appeared to be. I wanted to share the disillusionment I was feeling.

After the wedding I put this story in my bedside nightstand thinking nothing would ever come of my story. It wasn’t until fifteen years later while I was going through an ugly divorce that I even thought about my writing. More than anything I needed to tell my tale and this was the only outlet I had to share.
