This month we are pleased to feature David, author of ‘Dead Men Lie ‘, an Historical Drama. David describes himself as ‘an aging ex-self-employed plumber who took to writing late in life’. He lives in the south east of England and discovering his own family history has inspired David in his work. Being part of a family that has resided in Rye, Sussex for many generations, he heralds from Mayors, Town Clerks and businessmen, with his ancestors almost certainly involved in smuggling and credited with the building of ‘The Tower House’, something which to this day, invokes questions to be asked as to why it was built. As David says ‘it stands as a testament to both past wealth and ingenuity’.

Although he pronounces his own life as: ‘boring really’, leaving school with no qualifications and no knowledge of his family history. He tells us that
