Hostile Viking Studios

IGE: Precursor`s Dawn was on kickstarter last year, but was sadly cancelled,

Have you considered Indiego where the funding is more flexible?

HV: Indiego has been looked at for both the first attempt and for the possible relaunch of the campaign.

While Indiego has a more flexible funding model it has a larger chunk of downsides that must be weighed.

IGE: Tell me about your company, how big is it, when did you start?

HV: Hostile Viking Studios came into existence this summer (2016). Mostly we wanted the game development side of our software development business to have its own platform to build. The company isn’t very big, with around 7 people tied to it presently.

IGE: Do you have any plans for other projects after Precursor`s Dawn is out?

HV: Precursor`s Dawn is not a simple release and forget project for us, but we do have plans to revisit a few stories that we want to share with the world.

IGE: How did you guys get into game development, and what was the reason for you guys to start by yourself?

HV: Most of us had always worked near game development. it just became the next step in our path. The primary reason we had to start by ourselves, as most indie companies would agree, is the fact everyone has a great idea for a game, but it requires a lot of work to really deliver something that sticks with people. We believe that our vision for Precursor`s Dawn is something people will truly love and so we are here working to make that a reality.
