Formative Student Assessment.

The teacher dashboard in Actively Learn™ provides ongoing assessment to monitor comprehension. Student thinking becomes transparent as aggregated data shares student time in text, vocabulary look-ups, annotations, and question responses (see Figure 4). For example, when students are struggling, they can opt to share the “I don’t understand” note with the teacher. Teachers can tap into a student’s thought processes and provide in the moment feedback on areas of needed support. Furthermore, detailed reports share student proficiency by standard and track progress over time.
